Staged Reading of Sisters Matsumoto by Phillip Kan Gotanda

Staged Reading of Sisters Matsumoto by Philip Kan Gotanda

After years behind barbed wire, the Matsumoto sisters return to Stockton to reclaim their lives. But "home" is a complicated word.
Join us for a searing production of Philip Kan Gotanda’s Sisters Matsumoto. Performed by a dynamic cast of young artists, this immersive staged reading explores the delicate threads of sisterhood as they attempt to weave a future out of the remnants of the past. In a world that wants them to remain invisible, these women and their families fight to be seen. Come early before the show and enjoy a stroll through the exhibits at the Japanese American Museum of San Jose!
