Before a sold-out audience at Open San Jose, CATS presented the premiere staged reading of (The) Foundation, a new original play by award-winning playwright and director Jeffrey Lo, recipient of CATS’ Inaugural Playwright Commission. 

Jeffrey Lo’s powerful, thought-provoking script brought to life by captivating acting performances and culminating in an inspiring audience Talk Back, delivered an evening of meaningful storytelling, reflection, and connection, celebrating the impact of live theatre and AAPI voices.

It’s the night after the inauguration. All of Silicon Valley’s royalty is there to celebrate. When a major CEO’s life partner asks the question, “What is happening to you?” does the foundation they’ve built together stand or crumble?
