CATS is excited to announce that award-winning playwright, composer, and lyricist Min Kahng has been selected as the recipient of CATS' 2026 Playwright Commission. Min's plays include Happy Pleasant Valley: A Senior Sex Scandal Murder Mystery Musical and The Four Immigrants: An American Musical Manga.

Created in honor of CATS co-founder Dr. Jerry Hiura, this award celebrates and uplifts the artistic talent of young AAPI artists, highlighting their creativity, vision, and contributions to the AAPI community.
In its 12th year, our annual film festival is a celebration of powerful storytelling with film features, documentaries, & film shorts that provide a platform to illuminate the rich cultural tapestry and unique experiences of Asian Americans on screen.
